Ohrid, March 2024
First day of our project in Ohrid
The Macedonian team welcomed Italian and Greek teachers and student's at school offering bread and sweet delight, a local traditional custom. The headmistress expressed her joy to be the host of two neighbor well related countries. After that students introduced themselves with icebreaking activities. Finally in the afternoon they rehearsed in the theater dancing on the subject of bullying. A choreographer guided students to use their body to express the feelings of the victim and the bullies.

Second day of Erasmus+ project in Ohrid
In the morning students trained hardly in theatrical choreografies aiming to have a perfect perfomance. The reward for this effort was a fantastic boat ride in the beatiful Ohrid lake, which is the oldest and deepest in all Europe. The tour included a visit to Bay of Bones, an authentic reconstruction of the pile dwelling settlement, and the medieval monastery of Saint Naum, where we prayed to listen to the heartbeats of the saint above his tomb like the legend says. Despite the rainy and cold weather we all enjoyed the magnificent scenery and the view of the picturesque lakeside villages!!!

Third day of Erasmus + project in Ohrid
Our day started again with intensive dancing rehearsals which lasted untill noon. The children are really excited interacting with each other on the subject of bulling that affects all of them. After lunch we had a guided tour in the old city of Ohrid. We visited the museum, the beautiful old churches of Saint Sofia, of The Mother of God Perivleptos and of Saint John Theologus. Climbing the hill through stone paths we enjoyed the breathtaking view of the city and of the lake. After this refreshing stroll a mask workshop took place at Saint Clement's School. The students made their masks for the chorodrama perfomance, which will be presented on the last day of Erasmus+ program, Friday 22 of March, in OSU, Sv. Kliment Ohridski. Stay tuned!

4th day of Erasmus+ program in Ohrid
Our students were training hardly all day on the choreografies. Tomorrow is the big day of perfomance and everything must be perfect! Late at evening a prova generale took place at St. Clement School in Ohrid. The day ended with dancing traditional songs and dances of all countries.
Another day of our mobility finished! We are looking forward to enjoying our students' hard work!!

5th day of Erasmus+ program in Ohrid
On Friday 22 of March, last day of the mobility in Ohrid, the dancing performance finally took place at St. Clement School.
The students performed perfectly the choreographies they practiced during this week. The joy and emotion of all participants was great about the results of this collaboration. The dance drama highlighted school bullying behaviours, the feelings of the bully and the victim and suggested empathy as a way to combat this problem.
The activities in Ohrid organized by the agency Xanadu Art were the last of the program Decreasing Diversity through Drama. Students and their teachers of Italy, Greece and Macedonia will now take action at their schools to eliminate bullying!!!
At the end, all students and teachers were reward with certificates for attendance and European Youth sertifikats.
